IN REVIEW: VIOLA BEAUTY BOX (english/german)

Recently I participated in a really cool giveaway over on Instagram and I actually won: I'm talking about the Viola Beauty Box! I really wanted to give you guys a look into the box that I've received and talk a little bit about the products as well as the Viola Beauty Box itself.

Now the Viola Beauty Box isn't your standard subscription box since it's actually not a subscription box that you're gonna receive and pay for every month. On they're website you can choose from four different boxes - and you actually do not know the content of them - they do all retail for CHF 22.90. You always get five full-size products - not sample sizes! - in there and the value is always much more then what you actually pay for - as you're gonna see later on! What I always appreciate is when you get a little pamphlet in these boxes on which you can read everything about the different products as well as their prize points. There were a couple of products in the box that I already knew about and even used before and then also some that I haven't tried yet:

Now over all I really like the variety of product that I found in my Viola Beauty Box. The Burt's Bees lip balm is definitely one of my all time favorite lip balms and I've already purchased those before. I've also used the L'Oréal Shine Caresse lip glosses before and really enjoyed those back in the days!  Now my problem with these boxes is that I usually never love all the products that I get in them. For example the Manhattan Eyemazing in this (altho pretty) blue shade I'd never use on my eyes just because it's not my cup of tea - the same I have with the lipgloss shade since it's just a too bright color for my personal liking. But what I'm definitely super happy about is the Tony & Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum that I've owned before and really enjoyed - and the Rimmel nail polish looks like a perfect spring color and I'm gonna put that one on later on this week for sure!

I'd highly recommend checking out the Viola Beauty Box if you love experimenting with makeup products as well as testing out skincare and haircare. Since I'm still a student I like to decide for myself in which products I like to invest my money and in which ones I don't. Back in the days I actually had a subscription for the Pink Box but also with that one I usually only liked one or two products. So I personally like to spend my money wisely and on the products that I really wanna test out. But what I just thought about now is: Since the Viola Beauty Box isn't a standard subscription box this would actually make a really nice birthday surprise if you know someone that likes testing out all different kinds of beauty products!

Kürzlich nahm ich an einem coolen Gewinnspiel auf Instagram teil und gewann eine Viola Beauty Box! Aus diesem Grund wollte ich euch heute auf meinem Blog über die Box berichten, was sich darin befand und auch kurz über das Konzept, welches hinter der Viola Beauty Box steht, zu sprechen kommen.

Die Viola Beauty Box ist definitiv nicht deine typische Beauty Box für die du ein Abo abschliessen musst und welche dir jeden Monat zugesandt wird. Auf ihrer Webseite findest du vier verschiedene Boxen - wobei du ihren Inhalt nicht kennst - aus denen du wählen kannst und alle sind für CHF 22.90 erhältlich. In der Viola Beauty Box befinden sich immer Originalgrössen und der Wert der Box übertrifft den Verkaufspreis deutlich - wie du später sehen wirst, wenn ich euch zeige, was sich in meiner Box, die ich gewonnen habe, befand. Ich finde es immer toll, wenn du eine kleine Broschüre bezüglich der Produkte, die sich in einer solchen Box befinden, bekommst - darauf sind die Preise sowie weitere Informationen zu den einzelnen Produkten aufgezeigt. In der Box befanden sich Produkte, die ich bereits kannte oder sogar schon verwendet habe sowie auch solche, die ich bisher noch nie selbst verwendete:

Insgesamt gefällt mir die Vielfalt an Produkten in meiner Viola Beauty Box sehr gut. Die Burt's Bees Lippenpflege gehört definitiv zu einer meiner Lieblinge und ich habe sie auch bereits mehrmals selbst gekauft. Ich habe auch bereits zuvor die Lipglosse aus der L'Oréal Shine Caresse Linie verwendet, welche mir ebenfalls sehr gefielen. Ich muss jedoch gestehen, dass ich ein kleines Problem mit solchen Beauty Boxen habe und zwar, dass mir einfach nie alle Produkte gefallen, die ich erhalte - dabei meine ich nicht, dass die Produkte schlecht sind, sondern lediglich, dass beispielsweise in Bezug auf dekorative Kosmetika, ich mehr auf natürliche Farben stehe, als auf statement colors. Ein Beispiel dafür wäre der Manhattan Eyemazing Eyeliner in einer (dennoch schönen) blauen Farbe. Ich trage einfach nie solche Farben, da es nicht zu meinem Stil passt - dasselbe gilt für die Farbe, in der der Lipgloss ist, denn auch dieser Farbton ist mit zu laut, zu dominant. Jedoch freue ich mich sehr über das Tony & Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum, welches ich bereits früher einmal verwendete und sehr mochte und der Rimmel Nagellack sieht nach einer sensationellen Farbe für den Frühling aus - diesen werdet ihr sicherlich bald in meinem Instagram Feed sichten!

Ich empfehle dir definitiv die Viola Beauty Box zu erwerben, wenn du gerne verschieden Make-Up Produkte testest - wobei sich auch Gesichts- sowie Haarpflegeprodukte darin befinden können. Da ich immer noch zur Uni gehe ziehe ich es vor selber zu entscheiden, in welche Produkte ich Geld investieren möchte und in welche nicht. Vor einigen Jahren hatte ich ein Pink Box Abo und auch dort hatte ich bereits das Problem, dass mir lediglich ein bis zwei Produkte pro Box gefielen. Aus diesem Grund kaufe ich persönlich lieber gezielt einzelne Produkte ein, die ich auch für euch testen möchte. Was ich mir jedoch gerade in diesem Moment überlege ist: Das Viola Beauty Box Konzept basiert ja gerade nicht darauf, dass man ein Abo braucht um sie zu erhalten. Daher würde es sich doch anbieten, wenn man jemanden kennt, der gerne Überraschungen sowie Beauty-Produkte mag, dieser Person eine solche Box zu schenken!
